The unit performs the activity: in connection with exposure to ionizing radiation, consisting of intraoral, panoramic and CBCT imaging, in the dental practice and the commissioning and use of devices that generate ionizing radiation.
PWIS approvals were granted: o No. 217/20 dated 30.12.2020 for the CS 82003D camera, o No. 95/11 dated 15.04.2011 for the Gandex 765 DC camera, o No. 97/11 dated 15.04.2011 for the Gandex 765 DC camera, o No. 96/11 of 15.04.2011 for the Gandex 765 DC camera. WS-NHR-600-143/08 of 27.10.2008 for the operation of an X-ray laboratory.
The unit monitors the exposure of employees with individual dose meters — in the last 12 months from January 2022 to December 2022 the measured effective dose was: 0.1mSv.Regulation of the Council of Ministers on dose limits for ionizing radiation / OJ 2005, No. 168/- is the permissible level of exposure to ionizing radiation:
Employees: 20mSv/year;
general population: 1mSv/year.
Remark:
Based on the measured and calculated doses, it is concluded that the activities have had no adverse effects on human health and the environment in the last 12 months.
The laboratory does not release any radioactive substances into the environment.
