A-PRF and I-PRF technique

We use the advanced A-PRF technique and I-PRF to accelerate healing and improve its quality. Condensed Plasma Factors or Platelet Rich Fibrin (PRF) is an autologous matrix derived from the patient's platelet concentrate. Its effect is to accelerate healing and improve its quality. This is due to the increased activity of a group of selected factors that, among other things, promote the formation of new blood vessels and stimulate tissues to heal quickly (i.e. bone and soft tissue growth).

Thanks to modern technology, platelet-rich fibrin PRF can now be obtained directly at the treatment chair without the need for a special laboratory. Immediately before the surgical procedure, an assistant/laboratory technician takes several tubes of blood from the patient, which are immediately placed in a special device, the centrifuge. During the centrifugation process, we obtain the appropriate fractions of growth and healing factors, known as A-PRF (Advanced Platelet Rich Fibrin) and I-PRF (Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin). These can be used immediately during the operation in the form of membranes, as an additive to biomaterials or to supply the alveoli after extraction.

Thanks to a unique extraction method, PRF is enriched with additional components. These are white blood cells that increase the activity of fibrin in stimulating bone formation through the production of BMP and VEGF (vascular endothelial growth factor). In addition, they also accelerate the conversion of monocytes into macrophages and thus enhance the regenerative, stimulating effect on the bone. I-PRF is a liquid "blood concentrate" that is enriched with white blood cells and has a high content of platelets, which improve the healing capacity.

A-PRF and I-PRF - Why is this method used in dentistry?

PRF agents in the form of liquids, matrices, plugs or fragmented structures are used in patients to accelerate wound healing and the reconstruction (growth and differentiation) of tissue structures in anatomically difficult regions of the oral cavity. It is also used in combined techniques - enrichment of bone grafts - to promote osseogenesis (bone-forming processes) and to increase the regeneration of soft tissue (e.g. the gums or damaged oral mucosa). Fibrin is the best scaffold when it comes to tissue engineering and the slow release of growth factors. The use of A-PRF and I-PRF enables faster healing without complications.

We obtain the A-PRF and I-PRF fractions in the PRF Duo System centrifuge, which achieves the desired segmentation of the blood into the correct fractions through a unique calibration. We also obtain these fractions through the unique properties of the specially developed disposable tubes.

Modern medicine uses the patient's blood to improve wound healing and achieve a better result from the procedure. We take blood from the patient immediately before the procedure. It is then centrifuged to divide it into fractions that are applied to the patient at the site of tooth extraction or tissue regeneration. The procedure only takes a few minutes and is completely safe, painless and without the risk of side effects.

What is platelet rich fibrin plasma treatment?

I - PRF (Injectable Platelet Rich Fibrin) is the middle layer in a tube of the patient's blood that has been centrifuged. It contains mesenchymal stem cells, white blood cells and platelets. In soft tissue, it forms a network of fibrin fibers that form a scaffold for new tissue and stimulate wound healing. It also has a pain-relieving and anti-inflammatory effect and counteracts the occurrence of the so-called dry socket, a major problem after tooth extraction. The spaces in the socket are perfectly filled, and the growth factors are released long after the procedure.

Advantages achieved with A-PRF and I-PRF:

- rapid wound healing
- production of fibroblasts and osteoblasts, which form elastin and collagen as well as bone
- the formation of new blood vessels that promote the regeneration of the damaged area.

The blood supplies the treatment site perfectly with oxygen, nutrients and toxins. The chance that the transplant or biomaterial will be accepted increases.

Differences between preparation I - PRF and PRP

PRP (Planet Rich Plasma) can also be administered to the patient for the same purpose. This is also obtained from the patient's own venous blood. However, preparation I - PRF has a stronger effect; the growth factors are released for longer. The area treated with platelet-rich fibrin is also stimulated for longer than platelet-rich plasma. The structure that the fibrin creates is three-dimensional and adapts precisely to the area in question, forming a matrix. The number of platelets that stimulate the clotting and repair process is also higher, so it is better to choose I-PRF.

Preparations derived from the patient's blood are increasingly being used in various areas of medicine. In aesthetic medicine, the so-called vampire lift rejuvenates the skin and improves its elasticity, moisture and color. In orthopedics, fibrin is used successfully for many diseases. It is a very effective and natural method without excessive risks.
